About us – Our Aims, Vision and Values

Strength in Mind Therapeutic Services CIC is a registered not-for-profit organisation offering direct support,  counselling, psychotherapy, coaching and mindfulness to children, young people and adults. We are a group of trained family workers, mental health workers, and teaching and coaching professionals supporting adults, young people and children to access a diverse range of mental health support which we offer in a variety of settings.

Our Aims, mission, values. 

Aims:

(a):  the advancement of health; to address mental health early to prevent unnecessary escalation.

(b): the advancement of education;  to offer programmes and staff training to address the rise in emotional wellbeing concerns in schools, and

(c):  To remove the stigma and barriers of mental health:  to offer affordable counselling and therapeutic support to offer funded counselling and therapeutic support

(d):  the relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability or other disadvantage,by the provision of therapeutic services, counselling, advice and training to young persons and       their families, family support carers and medical support professionals living in, but not limited to, Hertfordshire.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide early intervention mental health services that empower individuals to achieve optimal mental well-being and lead fulfilling lives. We strive to identify and address mental health concerns at the earliest stages, offering timely support and resources to promote resilience and recovery. Through evidence-based interventions, compassionate care, and collaboration with individuals, families, and communities, we aim to reduce the impact of mental health challenges and promote long-term positive outcomes. Our commitment is to foster a culture of understanding, acceptance, and accessibility, where everyone can access the support they need to thrive mentally, emotionally, and socially.

Values:

 Our vision is to improve the lives of those living with mental illness and provide emotional wellness for individuals and families as we strive to deliver the services and support necessary to improve the quality of life for children and adults with mental illness. 

Partnership working:

Strength in Mind works in collaboration with local schools, local organisations and mental health services providing a positive package of support to children, young people aged 0 – 25,  and adults struggling with their mental health and emotional well-being.

Our team offer a range of therapeutic interventions, delivered by qualified and experienced psychotherapists, counsellors, art therapist and therapeutic life coaches, which include;

We are passionate about supporting anyone, of any age to develop and reach their full potential and supporting children and adults with making any changes for a better future.

Our counselling sessions are hourly paid on a sliding scale, some part or fully funded. Every therapy package is delivered and tailored to meet the individual needs of each child, young person and adult attending.  Strength In Mind is also able to offer Parents and Children Dyadic work.

Some of our community work and projects are fully funded with the help of grants from major organisations
