Key Information

My team have been supporting the emotional well-being and mental health of children and adults in the  Borough of Broxbourne for over 10 years. In 2018,  we realised we needed to expand the role and offer not only funded spaces but to expand and offer affordable counselling to the children and adults when it was needed, removing the barriers to support.

In 2019 we created the name ‘Strength in Mind Therapeutic Services’ and this was the beginning of our dreams to create a team, a hub to support our local community and beyond.    In July 2019 we were registered with Company House as a Community Interest Company,  and a new chapter of Strength in Mind Therapeutic Services CIC began; we are on our way to fulfilling part of the dream to make sure, every child, adult, parent can access the support they need when it is needed.  

Strength in Mind Directors 

Our organisation is about the community, so all but one of the Directors on our board live in the Borough of Broxbourne, but they have also had their children in the local primary and secondary schools, and experienced adversity sometime in their life.   This makes the board strong when we are deciding the needs to address and the work we deliver

Our board consist of local business people, partnership manager, child protection officers, teacher, charity manager, but more importantly, they are all parents and grandparents that have a passion to support children and adults suffering from adversity.
